The Actuarial Science Club at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s objective is to aid students in pursuing excellence in the field of Actuarial Science. The club strives to support our 250 members in both their education and pursuit of employment. The Actuarial Science Club’s Executive Board, consisting of 10 club members (some elected, some appointed) labors to provide students at the University with an optimal experience.
To ensure academic success, the club arranges for tutoring sessions, where both coursework and exam support is provided. Ultimately, however, the club’s biggest focus is on assisting students in search of employment. This is the greatest single need of our club members, and the support we provide for it is a point of pride for the club and the Actuarial Science program at the University of Illinois in general. We offer both a career fair and on-campus interviewing opportunities. In addition, we provide for a multitude of company presentations and preparatory seminars that prepare club members for relevant techniques such as resume building and interviewing.
Our club also plays host to graduate students pursuing a Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science. Furthermore, the Actuarial Science Club seeks to encourage camaraderie between club members through our mentorship program and a variety of social events. Through our myriad offerings, the Actuarial Science Club strives to be an integral part of the Actuarial Science Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
